Save up to 50% on your heating and cooling cost because they are... Energy  Plus homes! Certified by a 3rd party to save 50% on heating and cooling cost compared to a standard built home.

  1. All of our Energy  Plus homes are tested by Guaranteed Watt Savers (GWS), a government sponsored Independent company.  To be an Energy Plus Home of ours, the house must exceed energy savings requirements by 50% compared to  a standard built home and will have a "HERS" score of less than 85. Our homes have a HERS score of 65 to 69). The program we are on, reduces the heating and cooling cost by 50% compared to a code built home.  We usually beat that program by an additional 30 to 40 %. The result is a much more energy efficient home that is a lot tighter and requires less utility cost.
  2. Slab/Foundation: 3500 PSI concrete with fiber mesh (code is 2500)
  3. Framing: instead of using Pink Board, which has no structural value we use OSB to wrap our vinyl sided and brick homes. OSB adds structural value to home. On brick homes radiant board is used and then a moisture barrier, which reflects heat away from inside the house, there by helping to lower your utility cost.
  4. Windows: Energy Star, low "E" windows  for additional R values.. There are typically 9 to 12 windows in each home making it bright  through natural means.
  5. Insulation: netted  and blown to achieve a higher R-value than regular insulation. Ceilings are blown to an R-38.
  6. Roofing: sculptured 30  year shingles.
  7. Appliances: Stainless Steel Appearance appliances with a modern look and low maintenance. Standard included appliances are: stove, microwave, dishwasher and disposal.
  8. Hot Water Heater: an energy efficient 50 gallon electric hot water heater insuring that you always have plenty of hot water.
  9. Heating: energy efficient "heat pump" that keeps your home nice and warm, while giving you lower utility bills. The technology in today's heat pumps make them much more effective than just a few years back.
  10. Air Conditioning: Seer 14 to 15.5 rated air-conditioning  (standard is 13) system reduces monthly utility bills.
  11. Electrical:  Pre-wired for fans in all bedrooms and office and garage door opener. Lighting fixtures and fans are much nicer than the normal builder's grade for this price range. Smoke detectors to code protect your family.
  12. Cabinets: We have multiple cabinets to choose from that are pre-stained to save you money, or we also do "custom Cabinets to give you the "elegant look"..
  13. Countertops: vary depending on the neighborhood. Standard countertop is laminate or there are upgrades to Wilson Art High Definition, FX or Granite.
  14. Wind proof the home by sealing all  base and top plats, windows and door trim.
  15. Interior Features: most homes will have multiple ceiling levels of 8, 9, and 10 ft, and either a 9 ft or 10 ft pop-up ceiling in the master bed room. The rooms are spacious and the raised ceilings add to and create a feeling of open/airiness.
  16. Plumbing: Delta and Peerless faucets are used in most of the homes and pex pipe is used in all plumbing areas.

  20. Carpet: high density "Cut Berber " carpeting for our homes, normally associated with homes in a much higher price range.
  21. Tiled areas: kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, utility and entry. Most houses average about 600 sq ft of tile.
  22. Front entry: all homes will have a front covered porch and in many cases, also a large back covered porch.
  23. Parking, sidewalks: all of our homes come with a 22 ft long parking pad and a full sidewalk.

  25. Landscape: most of our homes will have 5000 sq ft of sod. Very few homes will be fully landscaped. We leave that up to the homeowner to put their "personal touch" on the home.

There are many other things you will find on a "2 K Country Home" that you would not expect in this price range. We build "quality homes at affordable prices:.
